‘Voices of Barcelona’ is an immersive, fun and confidence-boosting morning workshop designed to help you communicate more clearly, speak with impact and feel comfortable using your voice in front of a microphone.
Led by former BBC journalist and communications specialist Carrie Frais, this small-group experience takes place at the Radiofonics studios and guides you through the creation of a live podcast episode from start to finish.
Your voice is one of the most powerful tools you have and yet it’s often the most underestimated. It’s how we connect, persuade, tell stories and express who we are. And best of all, it’s free.

TRAINER
Carrie has an extensive background in UK broadcast journalism, having worked across television and radio with major media organisations such as the BBC, ITN, Sky, LBC and Heart Radio. Her presenting style is warm, clear and engaging, which led her to become a trusted on-air professional, interviewing a wide range of contributors including public figures, experts and well-known personalities.
After relocating to Barcelona, she broadened her career beyond broadcasting, applying her editorial and storytelling expertise to digital content creation, writing and creative leadership. She later took on the role of Head of Marketing & PR for a leading international real estate company, before establishing her own creative communications agency. Through this work, she supports brands in developing effective communication strategies, content and visual identity.
She currently collaborates with Radiofònics as an English-language communications trainer, bringing an international perspective and strong media background to professional and corporate training programmes.
OBJECTIVES & METHODOLOGY
Over the course of the morning, you’ll learn how to ask smart, engaging questions, how to answer succinctly and confidently and how to use your voice effectively whether you’re speaking spontaneously or telling a personal story. You’ll also gain hands-on experience using professional microphones and recording equipment in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Together, the group will create a 45-minute podcast episode exploring personal perspectives on life, love and work in Barcelona – a city full of stories, voices and contrasts.
No previous media experience is required, just curiosity and a willingness to participate. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a recording of your podcast, new communication skills, and greater confidence in your communications skills, even essential for the AI era.

A tangible outcome:
All participants will receive the audio recording of the podcast episode created during the session, recorded live at the Radiofònics studio. This recording can be used as a personal or professional portfolio sample and as proof of the communication skills developed during the workshop.
